Painting and Facade Lighting of Gibb's Hill Lighthouse Design-Build, Operations and Training Contract

What is this contract for?

This Request for Proposals (the "RFP") is an invitation by the Government of Bermuda (the "Government") to prospective proponents to submit proposals for Painting and Facade Lighting of Gibb's Hill Lighthouse, Design-Build, Operations and Training Contract , as further described in Section A of the RFP Particulars (Appendix D) (the "Deliverables"). Project Overview The Government of Bermuda proposes to display one of the island's historic lighthouses as a light-up attraction through the installation of a dynamic facade lighting system and is soliciting proposals from Design Build entities to design, build and maintain the lighting system. Inspired by world-renowned illuminated structures such as the Eiffel and Tokyo Towers, the expected project outcome is to showcase Bermuda's cultural heritage while enhancing its tourism product. The project scope will be in three (3) phases: Phase 1. Design Phase 2. Supply and Installation Phase 3. Operation, Training and Maintenance Following the design and build stages, the successful proponent will be required to operate and maintain the system for the term of seven (7) years and is also required to provide operational and maintenance training for the lighting system. Pre-Bid / Site Meeting The site meeting will be held Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. at the Gibb's Hill Lighthouse, 68 St. Anne's Road, Southampton SN 02.  Proponents are required to register their interest to attend the site visit by 5:00 p.m., November 11, 2025 with the RFP Contact. The site visit is not mandatory to participate in the procurement process but is highly recommended to gain a comprehensive understanding of the site conditions and project scope. **Late submissions will not be accepted.
