What is this contract for?

The Government of Bermuda, Ministry of Public Works is soliciting proposals from experienced Contractors to supply and install a replacement water main in Fort Hill Road and along Middle Road, Devonshire from 10 Fort Hill Road to Wallington Road West. This work involves the supply and placement of a new 6(six) inch HDPE pipeline to replace an existing 8(eight) inch PVC water main approximately 4100ft in length. The work will entail the use of pipe pulling and open excavation to install the new pipeline. The purpose of this work is to replace a section of pipeline that is currently failing with multiple breaks and leaks. Contractors  submitting a proposal for this work will be required to provide sufficient information to demonstrate their technical capability and availability to complete the scope of works and deliverables in accordance with the RFP documents  and demonstrate that they have successfully provided similar services   and works in the past. Proposals submitted by Contractors  who cannot demonstrate this expertise will be automatically rejected. Interested parties that require any additional information may contact ; Attention: J.
