What is this contract for?

The Tynes Bay Waste to Energy Facility requires the services of a qualified and certified mechanical contracting company with extensive experience with Industrial Water Tube Boilers and High Pressure Welding for the replacement of the following components; waterwall tubes, superheater tubes, evaporator tubes and furnace refractory (work to be performed on two boiler units). Tenderers shall have specialized experience with boiler maintenance, repair and operation. The project involves project management, welding, and testing services. Tenderers shall have specialized experience in this field of service as well as R stamp or equivalent Welding Licensing. All welds performed shall be subject to comprehensive observation during testing by international third party inspector. Qualified companies are invited to submit proposals as per the Tender instructions and requirements. Completed tenders should be duly signed and submitted in a sealed envelope to Ministry of Public Works, Department of Works and Engineering, 3rd Floor, General Post Office Building, 56 Church Street Hamilton, no later than 3:00 pm.
