Simplified for YouThis was the first sitting of the new Parliament following the February 2025 general election. Dennis P. Lister Jr. was elected Speaker and Lovitta Foggo was chosen as Deputy Speaker. All 36 MPs took their oaths or affirmations of office, with some choosing to swear on the Bible while others made secular affirmations. The session included the traditional ceremony where the Governor delivered the Speech from the Throne at the Cabinet Office grounds.
