Student-to-Support Staff Ratios
Will the Honourable Minister please provide this Honourable House with the
current student-to-guidance counsellor, student-to-occupational therapist, and
student-to-behaviour support staff ratios for each school in the Bermuda Public
School System?

The Bermuda Department of Education has adopted the ASCA (American School Counselor
Association) recommended student-to-counsellor caseload ratio of 250:1 for the Pre/Primary and
Middle Schools and 150:1 for the Senior School Level).
We are pleased to confirm that the Bermuda Public School System currently meets these
recommended ratios across all levels.
